If anyone cares, I turned in MY membership card today.

After basically begging us to set up a second team, beacuse there was not enough interest in his event, they ran the even like their typical cluster F**K. Incompetent A*******ES.

From the begining - at 7:00 AM - today's 750 lap event was total B******T.

Same as last time, groups of little (100 lb), young (pre-teen) kids, despite promises that steps were being taken to even things out. Ended up telling a group with an average weight of 115 lbs that it was OK to bring in their fat friend for 50 laps - "to even things out."

Let people race that never weighed in and never attended the driver's meeting. Didn't even try to enforce their own rules or safety precautions.

Same as last time, a huge, disorganized, fiasco. The whole event had to stop for 15 minutes, after the first 30 laps or so, so that some teams could change crappy carts. Timing and scoring was wrong. No one in the Xtreme "organization" (and I use that term LOOSELY) seemed to know what the F***K was going on.

Finally, the last straw. On a rolling restart the kid in the kart that was supposed to be BEHIND me kept pushing forward, passing, and bumping me. All the way around the entire track - nothing, not a thing - was done by any of the track workers. Then on the restart - where he was supposed to lay off until we were past the finish line, as they had only just instructed us prior to the restart - he tried to push his way past on the long carousel. Of course, I kept the line, so he hit the wall. And I got black flagged.

When I went to protest the track marshall got in MY face and started screaming. (F******G, pierced faced, Limey A*******E who is apparently too stupid to have an actual adult's job). So, I told him he was an A****E and that the event was B******T. So, he threw me out. I left gladly, telling the F*****G Pierced Face jackass to blow me on my way out.

Left my membership card with Andy. Told him to give it to Bill and tell him to shove it up his A**. Got home and contested the charges on my credit card.

Not going back, not ever. In fact, pissed enough to do what I can to F**** the whole operation up with the Alcohol and Amusement Agencies. Not that I think it will take much, given the ameteur act that they are running there. Probably just a matter of time until someone gets seriously hurt as a result of their negligent operations anyway.

From now on, anytime there is an event at Xtreme, suggested by anyone, I am throwing a cocktail party at my house. Free food and booze for all!

LOL, but sorry for your troubles. :(

Just remember there is a reason they work at a kart-track.

I must say I was greatly disappointed the last few times I was there as well. The carts used to be pretty even in the beginning and it went downhill from there on.
Even in our group we have these huge weight disadvantages that just take all the fun out of it.

I rather go real racing. (if the friggn car works LOL)

Are there other local kart clubs that you think are better-run than Xtreme?

I raced in the 12-hour ordeal a few months ago. Seemed pretty fair as far as drivers/teams/karts. The scoring and organization also seemed all right. Sure, the team with the 12-year-old ringer won, but they didn't break any rules. No complaints about Xtreme from here.

The fact that the underweight teams can win is well known. 10Lbs makes 0.1-0.2s off a lap in Xtreme. I am 205, some kid is 125 and we have a 80Lbs difference, 1.5s. Times 700 laps....!

Now there is a major reason WHY I would not run those events again. Been there, done that. I can be the better driver and yet will never win because of the weight disadvantage.

As I said, put me in a car and we'll talk.

Hey all, I weigh in at like 130 dripping wet. First time out I ran a 28.71 (2 seconds off the leaders) and sure i could improve on that. Next time you need a "ringer" for an Fchat team, let me know what i can do!

If I lose weight, I would be the fastest guy ever then. I have only been there one time, doing 20 laps. My best lap was 28.049, and I'm 260 lbs. No wonder the employees came up to me afterwards, telling me I was fast. I thought they did it just to stroke my ego, so I should come back and spend more money. :)

That is very good for 260Lbs. You need to give some of that weight to the 22 year old and we are even :)

    Scottie,
If you feel the need you can borrow the yellow go kart I have and make a sign to picket them while driving in circles in their parking lot. It would certainly give new customers a poor impression of the kind of kart that might be inside the building. ;)

I had a good time the one time I went there, but this guy kind of ran me into the barrier going around the final turn while I was holding my line. The Extreme worker yelled at ME! Who was that driver that drove with such disregard for my safety? Who could it be? MY memory is weak....

    :D
