$276K USD??? Gee, can he share what he's drinkin'? Oh, and that's before you replace the interior, which the listing says is not correct for the car. DM

Just e-mailed the guy to let him know of my admiration for his optimism and also to point out that there were in fact 22 wide arch GTS cars imported to the UK not 5.....His reply was that yes indeed 22 cars with Flares but only 5 with chairs, his being one of the 5. He went on to say that a dealer told him that the car would in fact be worth £200K if with the correct interior!!! This is 1989 pre big bang pricing!! My mind is boggling at this moment in time and i am off into a dark corner to talk to a higher being!
There were Dino's sold that broke the $300k (US) mark in mid 2008. I think that was the peak before the turndown, but they were also top of the line examples. I think Dino's have stabilized and possibly moving slightly upward, but this car seems to skip several steps in the markets "return".
Not if the dinoregister is correct. IT says it came from the factory with cloth seats. I think he'd need the original dealer invoice to prove the car was as he says, equipped with Daytona style seats from the factory, in contradition to the dino register. Enjoy the conversation with Enzo. DM
Yeah but the text to the ad reads "the only Daytona seats done in cloth/alcantara to ever come out of the factoy" BTW Enzo said we all need to calm down and that Dave should have never sold his car!
Doubt it. Doubt it highly. This was the el cheapo from Ferrari, I sincerely don't beleive they put FACTORY custom seats in it. Besides, if it was the ONLY one, how the hell would anyone know what they look like now? Sounds like BS to me, let's chase down the original owner and see if he remembers. DM
Jesus, no wonder my ferrari dealer keeps ringing me to see if i want to sell mine. one of 5..........Gulp
Price now reduced from £175k to £150k, but still by far the most expensive price for years in the UK: Private sellers are sometimes wierdly out of sync.

Pertinent article from Mr Sheehan on what happens when you get your starting price wrong ! http://ferraris-online.com/pages/article.php?reqart=SCM_201002_SS catch that knife ! R
Must be fairly desperate to sell, he's dropped the price by a whopping £35k in just over a week, Perhaps it was a tad overpriced in the first place!!!!!! He might have been eavesdropping on here and realised it was a tall order from the outset.
I noticed the other day that the owner of this car had subcribed to this forum and posted his car for sale on here. The only responce was for somebody to reply asking if it was the one for sale on www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk To which he (JayBarker) replied "yes it is" That thread appears to have been pulled and i wonder if he had or had not seen this thread!
Hopefully the seller or owner will post here..... As a sight for fun and current market perspective....... We are a fun bunch, and enthusiasts........ I speak for myself, (but believe I speak for others.....), we love the cars....What are the details? What do you you need? More importantly, what can we do to get you to join us in this perverse obsession?
