    if I remember correct it`s a mounting bracket for the inner wheel house (the panel closing the front)
    three further screws at the inner side
    in total four screws

    your picture must be upside down....

    Thanks gents. Here are a few more pictures for those who are interested. I started the day by converting a 20x20 mm steel square tube to a 10x20 mm that I need for the front chassis. For some reasons it's nearly impossible to source the 10x20 mm steel square in Denmark unless you want to buy a few tons. Other than that a few pictures from my ongoing panel work.

    Alberto, as you know these old Italian cars are quite labor extensive to work on....one of the reasons is that it seems like Ferrari deliberately chose uncommon or odd metric sizes for all their components, that being ball bearings or steel profiles. It's a smart way of protecting the brand against copy cats and keeping the spare parts prices up, but it makes it time consuming to source alternative parts. The tin flux I use is labeled as a Danish product so I don't know if it is available in the States. There is a good amount of lead in it and that might be banned in some purists countries. Below is a few pictures of my "tin set" and a picture of my latest invention: The bullet proof eye protection, i.e. no more trips to the local hospital for getting steel debris picked out of my eyes.
