Bradan 308/355 paint repair and mechanical service

Are those plastic zip ties? I tried them once, but they slipped off after about 20 mins of driving.

 

Very pretty! Although largely decorative over the luggage compartment.

Doc, i dont have a luggage compartment for now, in order to put the 355 gearbox in we had to take it out. Once the new exhaust is in, hopefully I can put another compartment back in. At first I wasn’t crazy about the gold, kinda 70s but being a Jarhead, red/gold are our colors it’s growing on me.

rosso corza over grey primer doesn't match rosso corza over yellow primer
and Factory rosso corza on 308 DOES NOT have clear top coat!

...and a 308 doesn't have a 355 motor. So what?

 

The entire car has a clear coat to protect the paint. And if it didn't I sure as heck would want one!

 

And the "non factory" items (Such as the engine and other parts) show that you are a true enthusiast who enjoys his car(s); not merely a "garage queen" caretaker. I applaud you for that Sir.

 

Which is unfortunate. The finish would last longer and look better if it did.

 

LOL,,,,Im in Austin,,,,go look in any HEB parking lot,,,, look for for failed clear coat..clear coat always fails and you cant rub it out.

 

no,,,,,,clear always fails,,, over solid fails wiyhin 5 yrs because when you shoot glasurite clear over solid color the mistake is sanding the orange peel smooth with 600 and the clear burns off ,,3yrs in austin,,,not going to last forever,,,..clear always fails even on metallic undercoat ,,,,which is not sanded,,,so better adherence,,but still fails.
