The owner was able to see the blend which really bothered him. As a last attempt we tried to spray over the blend and wet sand the panel down. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Well the blend did not work again and the customer is not satisfied. At this point as a business owner you have to decide if you will ever be able to make the customer happy or should you cut your losses. I slept on it and figured if I can't make this guy happy our work is not good enough period. Option #3 No blends spray the entire panel until you hit a body line. Haha I like breaking balls, they all have thick skin don't worry. We were all ready to drink the punch at some point during this job.
HAHAHA..Chris Chris Chris..In all fairness I do understand not wanting to be able to see the blend but also no owner wants to do extensive paint work as at selling the stupid paint meters come out and prospective buyers run away thinking the car was in major unreported accident. Its a catch 22 for all concerned..

Let me guess... The rest of the paint wasn't as good as your work so you ended up painting the entire car?
Wrong as usual here..Car is safe and sound home with Chris...and he is very happy with finished product..
Adam, I definitely had to fight with myself about that, however in the end, I decided that if it annoyed me, it would ruin my enjoyment of the car. I felt that I needed it to look perfect to me, or I would buy another car. Remember, its my dream car...and a toy Yes this is 100% true. At one point I started shopping. I even got the wife approval for a 2014 GT3. I was waiting to see the result before I decided. I would like to point out that the car wasn't fully painted. The spot that was damaged was painted and the rest was just clear coated. I'm not sure if it makes a difference, I just wanted it to be clear....no pun intended. Stay tuned....that's all I'm going to say. A pretty good guess, and I came close, but as Adam pointed out I still have it because I was fully satisfied with the work that Bradan wound up doing on it. I'm very thankful of that because in the end, I get to keep this car for a while, which will save me money.
