You're exaggerating a little. I probably just threatened his knee caps, lol This job was in the summer, it was VERY hot and humid. I think that's why the headliner decided to fail.
I think someone made a comment about you selling the car and the new buyer would be thinking how the car was involved in something serious, being the reason why you did the repaint. However, as long as this thread is available (for whenever that sale date may come), that buyer can read the reason right from the source, F-Chat, pics included! That is some fantastic work and dedication. I know some people in the biz that couldn't bother and would have rather cut their losses and leave the customer with a ho-hum feeling. The service here appears top notch with customer service really at the forefront! Keep up the good work! Enjoy your 'born-again' car!
Not only do I have the thread, but I have a folder with all the photos and receipts for every step of the way to show the work that was done. If the new owner doesn't want any repaints (like myself when I bought the car), then there is nothing I can do about that. No matter what I did with the car, I wasn't about to try to hide it anyway, so I just have to take a loss and be more careful about not damaging my car. I thought long and hard about the repercussions of the extensive work that was done for such a minor bit of damage and decided that I didn't care how it affected the value of the car as long as it looked good to me. My enjoyment of the car was worth more to me than a few bucks. Thankfully it looks new again, so I'm happy with my decision.
The owner decided to have his bumper repainted since the car was nearly perfect at this point. Damaged fiberglass repaired. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
