I actually only got to drive the car when it was finished because it first arrived in a snow storm. Would have been nice to feel the before and after. She was a monster on the highway though. I would slow down to 30 mph on the highway and just punch it over and over. Low speeds you really had to muscle her around but still sounded great.
Did you guys re-do the rotors and if yes what is typically done to refurbish them and prevent future rust?
Thanks guys we finished this car up over a year ago but it's nice to look back through all the photos. Eventually I will post what we currently have going on but this year we have 7 full mechanical restorations like this one. Its way easer a few times through.
We resurface the rotors on a brake lathe, measure them, and send them out to nassau chrome to have them plated in yellow zinc. As soon as you use the brakes the zinc will come off the pad surface but will remain on the hats.
