Thx. What would you have done if one had broken? I understand that the rear window would no longer be available?
That is the ONLY way to remove glass safely! A proper respray or colour change job cannot be done with the glass in the car. My friend owns a paint/panel shop and he removes all the glass on a respray or colour change. He just passes on the extra cost to the customer and at the end of the day...............it doesn't add much to the bill.
Prugna! Paint is Prugna! It'd be the only 550 in the world painted in that out-of-range Ferrari color. On the topic of glass, a 550 windshield is roughly $8K.
Lol, in all the years knowing my mate I dont remember him smashing anyones windscreens when removing them to paint. If it's already cracked, he wont remove it because it will make the crack A LOT worse. If it's not cracked, as long as you know what you are doing it is not hard to remove them without smashing or cracking them.
575M windshield is only ~$2600. Should fit. I was going to buy one on E-Bay for less than $2K until I realized they were not that expensive. Taz Terry Phillips http://www.ricambiamerica.com/product_info.php?products_id=280648

I was wondering that myself Pap. Since the (beautiful) metallic blues seem to be out of the running, I'm curious as to the winning colour.
I dont think that the factory places much emphasis on quality of paint work as all their energy is directed to the engine, transmission, suspension and brakes.
