    Hi everyone,
I'm the owner of this 550.

It makes me sick to have learned about all the issues found with this car. Dan and the guys at Bradan are doing some fantastic work. I can't wait to see what she drives like after I get her back, before I thought she drove well! Full disclosure, this is my first Ferrari, wanted this model in this color since I was 7 years old.

The scariest part about all of this is that a pre-purchase inspection and major service was performed by a very well known and supposedly "reputable" Ferrari shop. The pre-purchase inspection mentioned none of the issues that Bradan is working on and at the conclusion of the Major Service they wrote a letter saying "We find this vehicle to be in excellent condition with all factory maintenance to date."

I'll be doing a full write up of what happened after I consult with a lawyer.

Thanks again Dan for keeping my childhood dream on the road!

Well, sir, under the category of "unexpected silver linings", you car proves that these "ever so fragile" Ferraris can actually be tough as nails underneath. If the car drove well and seemed good to you with all these hidden issues, then she is tough as nails actually. And as you said, just imagine how sweet she'll be when her time at the rejuvenation spa is complete.

Too bad there isn't a rejuvenation spa for older guys that could actually swap out all my bad parts and make me like new again!!

    Meant to answer...
Short answer: too much current through too much resistance.
The cause could be a short on a lead that was unfused, an improper fuse value, or just that the connector was corroded and offered more than the expected resistance.
    Another short answer: poor maintenance.

I have a voltage leak on the cigarette lighter/lights circuit. Hoping maybe a common problem so I can know where to look.
