Dan, Michael- Should be nearly a brand new Maranello when finished. Excellent workmanship.

The fences are just stamped and could come loose causing timing belt damage. The factory started doing this on later model cars to avoid the issue.
Looks like I have no choice but to send my car to you guys..its a long way but who else is going to get into this level of detail!
Are there any camshafts available for these engines with higher lift and/or duration, or would one have to go with a custom grind? Up to what lift can you go with stock valve springs and piston-valve clearances? Thinking of power-adder possibilities, but it seems like very few people mod these engines, other than what Prodrive did with the 550 race cars. Awesome thread, thanks for posting!
No doubt about that, Taz. Probably the single best bang for the buck performance mod one can do for these cars. Still, I'm curious what other engine mods are possible, such as cams and cam timing, and/or custom programmed ECU, to realize even more power potential from these magnificent engines.
Cat cams did the pro drive motors camshafts they would have better knowledge on this. I would replace the main cats with high flow cats, they rob allot of power from the car.

FBB- As you know, you have to do that on a 550 to change the cam seals and Dan even does it on 575s (and 550s) so he can clean the hydraulic lifters. On 575s, you can change the cam seals without removing the cams.
