wonder how much the client is paying to have this work done? 50-75k just for the body work?

 

I don’t know, but it would have to be a family heirloom for me to justify.

Starting with the 360 they are, now they’ve moved on to carbon fiber tubs etc. Your Scud is all aluminum.

 

Fantastic effort. Would it not have made sense to strip the complete shell based on the level of restoration you are doing. I know there are companies in the UK that do surface reprocessing for full body shells that get done on a spit. The obvious issue is costs as every rubber seal and gasket for the panels needs to be replaced. The hardest part in the 355 is the back window (Not to mention a very expensive one if you break it during removal or refit) , but you have no such issue as its a Spider.
