The hardware is specific on the F355 and all marked with Cavillinos. The tapers, thread length, bolt length, width of the hex head, etc are all important and can't just be replaced with a standard bolt. We do use regular replacement nylock nuts from Belmetric and Wurth since theres really no difference. Plating original hardware is relatively inexpensive compared to replacing it with correct new OEM hardware.

Look at the holes in the ports and look at the deck face - looks like someone use the most coarse file in the tool shed to plane the deck face
Ops - I thought those were holes - sorry guys, yep - valve guides sticking out - not holes. But the deck face is still very poor - could it be re machined? Possibly but it looks like a lot of material has already been removed.
The heads are in average condition for what we see coming off cars in the shop. The deck scratches should clean up on a mill.
We couldn't find paint marks on the cylinder liners after cleaning the corrosion off. So we measured them out and found they were green dot liners. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'd almost guarantee those heads have already been milled. Look how close the seats are to the cast pocket - that's not normal nor are the terrible surface gouges. That's been destroyed by someone prior and not remotely normal. This is one of mine after a mild clean. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Those heads may be milled a lot as the surface looks rather close to the exhaust seats. Another thing to consider is (and I could be wrong here, my research now amounts to about 10 minutes) but it seems the 5.2 combustion chamber is different than the 2.7 combustion chamber. 2.7 -appears- to my eyes to have more material between the intake valves and kind of a notch shape cut out of the chamber outboard of the exhaust valves. So far consistent with the pictures I have been looking at, let me know if you guys see something different.
I know, just saying may not be a direct comparison to your photos being 5.2 vs 2.7 heads (but still looks rather close)
I thought that was brought up about 10 years ago Jim. The difference in head and block but maybe just block? Getting oldtimers Cannot remember nothin I
Quite possibly. I recall it being said the ports were physically larger which sometimes resulted in coolant seepage due to thin walls but don't remember anything being said about different combustion chambers myself.
