    Fiberglass parts sprayed with Glasurit 1006-26 sprayable body filler (polyester primer). It has a high filling capacity and ability to spray heavy thick coats to fill pin holes and level fiberglass panels. I really like it for repairing Gel coat on fiberglass. We used a Sata 100 B F poly gun with a 2.1 tip.

    Aluminum panels prepped for primer using Glasurit 360-4 metal cleaner. Its a solvent that removes contamination from bare metal surfaces prior to primer. We followed with BASF 2000 advanced prep wipes, its a prep wipe for aluminum that applies a phosphate coating to enhance adhesion and corrosion resistance.

    Sprayed with Glasurit 801-703 chromated epoxy primer. It has excellent corrosion protection and outstanding adhesion. We use a Sata 100 B F HVLP gun with a 1.3 tip. Booth was 30 percent humidity at 70 degrees.

    No we try to seal the metal as fast as possible. We will go back after the engine is removed to weld the 1/4 panels and remove the radiators ducts, hardware, etc then spot prime the repair areas.
