Best of luck to you!
Dan and his guys have made a lot of great progress since we first saw it. There are still some things to work out and already told him I'm happy to help. I think after our last discussion is too much reliance has been put on parts countermen who who may not have been around when the car was built and are just going by what Ferrari has been superseding parts to that they no longer use.
You have an obvious issue and are an ass. I have spent many hours helping and advising Dan be a success and the car shows it. Besides being an ass, what have you added here?
How so? It takes years of experience for the restorers to get to the point where first time out the car wins awards. Dan and his guys have been doing fine, the car just needs a few corrections to get where it needs to be. For someone as new to it as they are there're doing fine. One problem was our system is more heavily weighted on originality and everything being correct. Condition is less important. Dan and his guys paid more attention to aesthetics and condition and got some bad information in how a few of the things need to be done and some of the parts used. Not an unusual mistake.
Brian - many thanks to you for all your help and advice (free, I might add) with my car. Your expertise was invaluable both in my search for an excellent car as well as in my process of preserving and maintaining its originality and excellence.
Didn't think a brand new seat belt mechanism wld cost us platinum. That's all. Sent from my BBB100-3 using Tapatalk
Appreciate the advise and guidance as does dan! Looking forward to getting the ball across the line. Sent from my BBB100-3 using Tapatalk
I already mentioned it to Dan but the situation with that part is unacceptable. As I told Dan you should write a letter to Ferrari North America and copy the NHTSA and possibly your lawyer. Tell them they do not work, there is an enormous history of the Ferrari passive restraints failing, you have paid a large sum for replacement parts and they do not either. They have their butts hanging out big time on those and the only reason they get away with it is no one tells the Feds it is happening.
Great seeing Brian and meeting a few F-chat guys at Cavillino! This years supercar class had nearly 20 cars from 288GTO all the way to La Ferrari. Great idea and I think we will go that route if I can't get a real solution to the seat belt issue. The new seatbelt track that was installed broke at Cavillino. A few guys sent me PMs and emails with the same issue so I'm working on a solution made from ABS plastic. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

This shows how collectible & desirable Supercars, have become, I recall years past when there would normally only be a handful of cars in this Class.
Last years supercar class was about 4 cars in a side parking lot. This years show had a strong showing of all models.
