FOR SALE: Braille i48CS light weight lithium ion battery + charger (model 1236L)

I ran this primarily in my 458 Italia. Outstanding battery and very light weight (just over 18 lbs). Saves a lot of weight, but most of all, it removes the headache of having to use the battery tender.

With just 1/10th the static discharge of a traditional battery, this high quality racing battery gives you the confidence that your Ferrari will actually start when you go to drive it :) I ran it for about a year in my 458 and never once used the battery tender, despite allowing the car to sit for 3-4 weeks at a time. Works great in the 458 and other models which use the Group 48 size.

The i48CS sells for $2600 new and the charger is over $150

A little over 1 year old, so plenty of life left (estimated life of 8-10 years).

Asking $2000 plus shipping for the pair. Domestic USA ground shipping only or pickup in Monterey, CA

Yeah, these batteries are what should have come from the factory w/ the cars. Never having to use the battery tender makes having a Ferrari much more enjoyable.

The 458 charging system does a fantastic job of keeping the battery charged up. The 488 is a close second, although w/ the 488 once I did have to hook up the charger when I left the car sitting for around 3 weeks. However, with the 458, just a quick drive charged the battery up fully; this allowed me to go 3-4+ weeks without having to attach any sort of tender. Every time the 458 fired right up with just one push of the start button.

I've been debating about ordering an 812 Superfast next, but I'm starting a new company, so probably better to hold off on more toys for a bit. If I was going to get the 812, I'd probably hang onto this battery. For now, however, it's for sale if anyone out there wishes to upgrade their car.

What's involved with installing this battery? Standard battery swap or anything special needed in terms of brackets, coding, etc.?

It's very simple. Just a standard battery swap, nothing special is required. As I remember it's just a couple 10mm bolts and the little bracket comes off, then swap batteries and you are done. Reconnect and folllow the battery reconnect procedure in the manual.
