    A white man is wearing a pair of white shoes, a black man is wearing a pair of black shoes, and a red-skinned man is wearing a pair of red shoes. In a gesture of friendship, they decide to exchange shoes. When they are done, each man has one show from each of the two men.

    How many shoes will you have to look at to know which color of shoe each man is wearing on each foot; that is, which color shoe each man wears on his right foot and which color each man wears on his left foot?

    Note: When you look at a shoe, you can see each mans skin color.

    oh yeah, the explination.

    We know that each man is not wearing his shoes anymore. Thus he has the other two peoples shoes. The white man has a black and red, the red man a black and white the black man a white and red.

    If the white man has the left red shoe, the black man must have the right red shoe and thus the left white shoe. You can follow that chain of reasoning and deduce which color of shoe each man on his feet as long as you know one to start with.
