I did this separately (scratch paper) and came up with the same solution as DC.

This is just a guess 'cause i can't figure out how to factually find the answers in your questions, but here goes:

A: Spanish
B: French, Italian, Spanish, English & Portugese
C: Italian, English, Spanish & Portugese
D: Spanish & Portugese
E: French, Italian & Spanish

 

A = French, spanish, portuguese
B = English, Spanish, French, portuguese, italian
C = English, spanish, Italian, portuguese,
D = Spanish
E = French, Italian

That's what I came up with.

There is a glitch here.

If three members can speak ONLY Portugese, then these three members can speak only one languge, BUT we are also told that ony one member speaks only one language.


Here's the way it should read. What a difference one word makes...in any language.

I think the sentence had 'with each other" ... we mean the same thing, and I think that's how everyone so far has interpreted it.
