Anyone know of a source for a 308 front caliper piston. ATE 48 mm?

As you know, the calipers are Ate's. If you check the parts interchange sticky, you will find cross-references to the Porsche parts that interchange with our calipers (I think the fronts are 70's 914 calipers, rears are 911 SC, but don't quote me). You can find those parts easily and less expensively than from an F-supplier, by googling. You can also contact ATE-NA and they may be able to give you information on where to get them:

By the way, I had my calipers rebuilt by John at East Coast Jaguar last summer. He did a really nice job. You might want to contact him as he got stainless pistons for mine from a supplier of his. He might be able to help you out. Contact: [email protected] or google "east coast jaguar" and you can find his phone number.

Thanks for straightening that out. I was working from memory. LOL Guess that can use a spring tune-up along with the 308. :)

Thanks for the reposnse. ATE no longer stocks their pistons but found a supplier for replacement stainless steel pistons. John Farrell Auto Parts. jfarrellauto.com or tel. 800-545-7977. Very resonable and capable of manufacturing custom caliper pistons if necessary.
