Anyone ever received the following message? Calling dealer tomorrow as my yearly service is due in 52 days. Only 1400 miles on the car.

I've got the same message. I've got much greater mileage. So must tracked by both time and mileage

Also there is a brake system recall which has to be performed

It was just the notice for service and that the brake fluid needs to be replaced under the maintenance program.

Brake fluid is not mileage based. It's more time based. Basically brake fluid is hydroscopic...meaning it absorbs and retains water into it thus not working as good as a pressure fluid as it should.

A brake fluid flush is cheap, change it once a year for normal street driving no more than 2 years. Track use due to heat in the brake system will need to be changed much more often.

No rush at all. It was just the computer sending the message and not a warning per se

You can buy a little pen like detector you dip in the top of the fluid tank, will tell you if too much water moisture in the brake fluid.
