    Car = 1986 328, so it's a non ABS car

    I started work on the car a year ago. When I put it on stands, I flushed the brake fluid with Motive Power bleeder. The pressure bottle on the reservoir tool.... i pulled old fluid (gold color) out of the res. with a baster. I pushed new blue fluid in with the power bleeder... Got blue out of all four bleed nipples.. The fluid fluid was 3 years old in the can. Normally I would not use it on this car due to age of the can.... Rather than throw it away, I said I'lll put it in the car as its fresher than what's in there now and I'll re-flush again just before I take the car off the stands... Just in case these few simple jobs take longer than I think.. ; )

    One year later, still on stands : ), Im ready to put the car back into service and Im bleeding the brakes again with a brand new can of ATE gold... I like to alternate colors when I flush.. Note: The blue can was one of the last you could buy in the USA and it was a few years old...

    For some reason, I can't get the blue fluid out of the side of the reservoir opposite the filler cap... Just under what must be the level sensor (electric wires, left(USA driver) side on reservoir). It was gold before, then became blue, so I must have swapped the fluid in that side somehow... Previous flush I did empty the res. with a baster and cleaned inside (filler cap side) with q tips. I probably also did pump the brakes a few times post bleed... This time, I have once again sucked the res. (filler cap side) dry, but the opposite side is still holding blue fluid. All bleeder screws were producing new gold fluid before I sucked the res. dry...

    How does this work? Would like to get all the fluid out... I figured there MUST be a small passage hole between the two sides, but after an hour of waiting the sensor side is still full.

    I could let it go, but would like to know the procedure to expel and re-fresh ALL the fluid..

    did a search and can't find solution....
