    While doing my annual back in April I noticed that the brake fluid reservoir cap gasket had deformed and was no longer seated in its slot. I bought a new reservoir with cap and replaced it this morning. I haven’t had the brake cap recall done yet so this is probably not important to those that have had the recall completed. For others, probably worth looking at during service.

    Is that the new cap? The one that the dealer would install because of the recall?

    I had the same thing. Posted pics of mine months ago, looked worse than yours. I also bought a new reservoir with new cap and have not had the recall done yet.

    I assume when you buy the new tank you get the new cap which is the recall

    You would think, but not on mine. Maybe it was old stock. But I am sure they will come that way eventually.

    I tried to order the new PN a while ago. It sat unfulfilled until cancelled due to inability to order as an individual.

    Not at this time. Like Mercedes_Benz my new one was the old style. Not sure when you’ll be able to buy just the new cap.
