    No worries, ferralc.

I agree with fatbillybob that something’s wrong if your brakes are fading on a public road, and yes, the track is the place to be!

Hi I did some research and I wanted to update Boiling points and wet boiling points for the brake fluid discussed (first number in celsius then fahrenheit) so from lower to higher
Castrol DOT 4 (former GT LMA) BP 260/500 WBP 165/329 Price per 500ml $7
    Motul 5.1 BP 269/516 WBP 187/369 price per 500ml $17
Castrol SRF BP 310/590 WBP 270/518 price per 500ml $32
    Motul RBF 600 BP 312/594 WBP 204/399 price per 500ml $17
    Motul RBF 660 BP 328/622 WBP 187/369 price per 500ml $25

I think for the money the best option is the Motul RBF 600, better numbers than the Castrol racing version and not outrageously expensive
    thanks everyone

have you considered ATE TYP 2000 brake fluid? Similar numbers at 536F boiling point, 388F wet boiling point but you get twice (1L containers) as much for $17-18.

I didn’t know about that one, it looks a very good option too.

It's what I have in my car and from doing a search, a lot of other members have used this as well.

I personally like and use the Motul RBF600 in my bikes, but like others have said about using race fluids, it does have a tendency to absorb water as it's meant to be used, bled, and changed often instead of sitting for a long time. I have to bleed my system quite often, especially before and after track days.
