Brake judder after wheel change?

    A friend w/ a 99 355 just changed tires, same rims. he now seems to have "brake judder". He called back and ask what torque, they said 98lb., 17 or 18 lb. more than it should've been ( I can't rember exactly the #)...
    he torqued it to spec. but still has it... are these clearances so tight that a bend or mis-align of mounting could do this? the wheels just came off and back on...has any one else had this problem???

    sounds like it could be wheel balance, do you get a vibration in the steering at certain speeds?

    Ideally the tires should be positioned on the wheel so its heavy point is counter balanced against the wheel's heaviest point, this minimizes the need for sticker weights

    no ,he described it as "the last 30 feet or so" of stopping...
