    Does anyone have any ideas about why I am getting the "brake warning light" when I step on the brakes and the brake lights come on okay. The book just says check the brake
    circuit? seems to me if the brakes work and the lights come on everything should be okay.

    could be fluid, or possible switch problem.

    Have you also looked at the rotor areas?

    just some hints.

    I will look into it and check what you have mentioned. However I looked at the wiring diagram
    and I can't see what actually trips the circuit. IE I don't know what the circuit measures.

    I believe it measures the current and if it's outside a specified value, the light comes on.
    I burned bulb will change the current, but I also had working bulbs that were not within range. The only way to find it (there are only 4 of them) is to change one after the other until you find the faulty one. Hope this helps

    Sorry I may have misunderstood which light your are talking about. I was referring to the check control "stop lights" warning.

    Additional to Wade's comment:
    If you are talking about the red light in the IP, it could also be due to the front pads' wear. If they are worn (and the contacts haven't corroded away) they will make the light come on when contacting the disc so you know you have to change them.

    I am talking about the QV Mondial here.

    I did some more digging in the forum and it helped me understand what the
    "stop Light" warning light in the monitoring centor console does. It really does mean there
    is a problem in the stop lights. I wrongfully equated the "stop light circuit" with brake
    problem indication. Anyhow here is what fixed the problem. The left stop light
    lost a contact which caused one of the light bulbs not to light when the brake
    was stepped on. I fabicated a new contact for the bulb and the problem was solved.
