On a trip and just found out brake lights are not working. They were working when I checked a few weeks ago. Where should I start? Of course I don’t have a manual with me can anyone send a picture of the fuse box in which fuse it might be? Thanks so much Thanks for help. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Wipers work so I don’t think it it the fuse, because I believe the wipers and stop lights are on same fuse. Any other ideas? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Faulty brake pedal switch? Try cleaning it. Note that this switch has an input to the ABS, but I haven't looked into what effect it has on the system. (EDIT) Is the electrical connector on the switch still plugged in?
I never looked for the brake pedal switch on my Ex 348. In the old days (most cars) it's a simple contact switch that gets triggered by the pedal and arm moving forward, contacting it. Thus look up and down the back side of the pedal shaft/arm. And I assume you have checked that it's not just bad bulbs?
Thanks I’ll look for it. No I haven’t check d the bulbs yet but will as well. Are the rear bulbs easy to access ?Thanks again. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Yes, just remove the light assembly covers from inside the engine compartment. Then unscrew the lamp holders (bayonette type). When changing the lamps, look for corrosion on the lamp holders and clean as required. Do you have a digital multimeter for basic electrical checks?
I’ll pick one up. We just got to Amelia Island for the Concours so hopefully it’s just the bulbs. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app

Unfortunately, the brake lights have their fuse and relay in the passenger side footwell fuse box (right figure) and not under the front hood (left figure). Fuse No. 5 is for the brake lights. Relay B is for external lights. I'd probably go with the brake switch first, then look for a grounding problem at the lamps. However, could be simply the rear tail light is shot. See if your tail lights work when the headlight/fog lamps are illuminated. Might give you a clue about the lamp itself. Image Unavailable, Please Login
