Hi - checking my rookie mechanical skills here - issue = no brake lights. Put in new bulbs, i have running lights, back up lights and turn signals.

i Don't think there is a dedicated fuse - i read and checked and it was inconclusive; but the other tail lights aspects per above work. open to input here ?

i unplugged and checked the brake light activation switch was functional, seems too be, but it could be the problem ---- any thoughts ? my next challenge is to find one of those and R&R it. Any leads on this part appreciated.

thanks - Rookie in Northern Canada !!

First, confirm/deny if you have +12V on the LN (blue black) wires at the brake switch when the key is "on":

If you do have +12V on the LN wires, and, if you manually connect the LN (blue black) wires to the R (red) wire at the brake switch (key "on") and still have no brake lights, give the w white connector and the y white connector an unplug/inspection/replug:

The TR brake light current is quite high (like 8~10A) and can "oxidize/burn" these connections. IMO, you should add a jumper wire from the red wire in the w connector directly to the red wires in the y connector (while keeping all the original connectors/wiring in place -- i.e., don't cut/eliminate stuff, just add the jumper wire to the existing wires by removing a little insulation) to act in parallel to these flaky fuse-relay panel connectors.

PS If when you manually connect the +12V LN wires to the R wire at the switch (key "on") and the brake lights work = then buy a new brake light switch.

Did you ever investigate/resolve this issue? (It's helpful if we know what the trouble was/is so that we can add it to the collective data base of causes/probability of causes.)

Hello , thank you for the prompt and informative responses earlier.

Per the information you provided, the voltage was there to the switch and i replaced the switch ($75 CDN) to resolve the issue.

    cheers, hg
