    Is something holding the pedal down? Floor Mat?

    Perhaps the brake light switch has failed "on" (peculiar).

    Did you shut the headlights off BEFORE you shut the car off? If I leave the headlights on when I shut my car off (Gallardo, but maybe similiar wiring) the parking lights stay on, but the headlights shut off. You must then turn the car back on, and shut the lights off.

    thanks guys, brake pedal does not appear to be interfered with from mats etc and all lights are off when i turn the ignition off so i guess must be brake light switch, any other offers?
    there is not a re-set system is there?

    have you tried disconnecting the battery then reconnecting it? Cycling the battery disconnect would yield the same result.
