I'm contemplating using a brake booster I have that was built in circa 1967. The concern is the diaphragm rubber components. How might these ~46 year old parts be?? The booster was stored in "ok" but not great circumstances. The master cylinder was attached, so that helps. there's some rust on the spring.

Bottom line is I 'think' it has a chance as there are so many cars still in operation that these parts are about this age, and the rubber parts are still good. Not crazy about disassembly of booster. I've had rebuilds done and sheet metal did not fair as well as I'd like.

    Thanks for any input.

After dissassembly of other Bonaldi 40+ year old Dino boosters, I think I got my answer.

Now I'm trying to figure out how to dissassemble the booster seals and end bearing for plating the can. I wrecked one. I hope it was just being clumbsy. It's kind of brittle. Fun is gonna be sourcing or making another one.
