Before shutting down my 360 last year, I put on new brake pads. I used a brand called Red Stuff. This year when I started driving the car it is really squealing badly. It isn't as bad as it was when I first started driving it but it is still bad. I've driven about 150 miles and it seems it will never stop. I'm temped to admit my mistake and go back to the original Ferrari pads. Does anyone know if this brand will ever stop the squeal it is making or should suffer the lost and buy new pads. Thanks for any insight.

It may not be the pads. The calipers are fixed and very stiff (compared to the usual sliding caliper design found on most other cars). So if you didn't have the rotors trued or replaced at the time of your pad change, your brakes will squeal.

But I've never really liked EBC pads. My preference is for StopTech street performance pads or Girodisc pads.

Did you bed them after install? How about anti squeal grease? Even stock pads will squeal with a lot of low speed braking. I want to put Posiquiet ceramic pads on. Worked great on my 348 and low dust.

I put on red stuff as well. Did not turn the rotors but I did bed in the pads. Several high speed runs and jam on the brakes. Also did some steady driving and apply brakes at same time. No problems after doing that.

I installed red stuff on my R8 for the low dust properties. I did bed them in. No squeals whatsoever. The OEM pads I replaced screeched horrifically.

Hawk HPS. Used them on both my F cars. Never any squealing issues.

New OEM pads, turned rotors, maybe 800 miles and they make so much noise that it's hard to drive. Been back to the mechanic (120 miles away) and so far , no improvement. Any slow speed stops and ya gotta be wearing earplugs. Not sure what to do next, and don't particularly want to go back to the mechanic.
Before the brake job...... not a sound.

Do some searching on how to bed in the brakes. Should be done immediately after new pads, but it might be better late than never. I assume your tech applied grease to the back of the new pad shims?

I performed the bedding process. The squeal is gone. Thank you so much for all of the help. I also hope that it benefits other posters.
