I'm experiencing vibration under braking (noticed in brake pedal). More noticeable at high speeds. I had a similar problem and replaced the front Rotors. The problem diminished significantly. I was recently at the track and after several sessions noticed more vibration similar to before. I suspect the rear rotors may not have appropriate runout (warping). The pads are only a few months old. Does this make sense or could be another cause?

The question turns out to be either warping or insufficient thickness.

I had a set of rotors turned that were just over the minimum thickness lmit. After the next track event the brakes started to feel not like the rythmic warp, but like sand paper scratching a soft metal surface. Back at the shop, we laied a strait edge over the rotor surfaces and saw that there were hundreds of little dimples the high points corresponding to the pins inside the rotors. In effect what happened was not that the rotors warped, but that the surfaces got hot enough to become soft and the pressure of the pads pushing on these surfaces cause the unsupported area to buckle under the load.

A fresh set of rotors and I was back in the game.

    Either that or....
You're just feeling the ABS kicking in under hard braking.

Pretty sure it's not ABS related. Symptoms are experienced with little brake effort. Sounds like I should attempt turning them (if thickness will allow) or replace rear rotors.

If you feel the vibration in the steering wheel, then it is the front.
If you feel the vibration in your seat through your butt, then it is the rear.
Can't tell what the vibration in the pedal ... is other than brakes.

The front rotors are 2 month old Girodiscs so pretty sure not front.
