Just did my first wash on the Ferrari. Went online. Got a bunch of products. Followed all the instructions. Car looks great and sparkles.

Went out to the garage a couple hours later and the brakes had turned to a rust color (they had been a pretty normal gray color before the wash).

    Did I blow it somehow?

Is there a cleaner for that?

Kind of a bummer on an otherwise sparkling car.

the brake discs are pretty much exposed metal. Every time you expose it to moisture this layer of rust will form. Drive the car around for a minute applying the brake(not hard) and the rustic look will disappear.

They MIGHT even squeak a little also.

    As previously mentioned...not to worry.

    Enjoy the (clean) ride!!!!

    Hint...go get it dirty!!!

Rust will be gone the next time you drive it. Very normal occurrence.

Haha. Happens to all cars with steel brakes. Fromyour regular hondas, hybrids, porkers all the way to your Lambos and Fcars. It's normal. Drive the car and it'll be gone. But park the car overnight in moisture conditions and it'll be back the next morning.
