Well I needed a mirror triangle mine was cracked and after removing all the crap and refinishing the other parts I ordered a new replacement and as soon as I touched it I was a sticky. No problem I stripped it and painted it in a few minutes just thought it was funny .

    1. Apply EZ Off.
    2. Scrub like the dickens.
    3. Rinse, lather, and repeat!

Easy OFF sucks . I used an all purpose cleaner sold by a local detailing supply house call e-50 by quality products .It softens is enough to allow you to scrub it off with a red scatch brite pad . The part was brand new FERRARI in a sealed bag .

The bag should not have been sealed. Reference recent Ferrari bulletin regarding rotating atmospheric conditions of plastic parts. You are not supposed to allow the atmospheric conditions to stagnate for more than 4 weeks. This package should have been opened and resealed several times.

    I'm going to fess up.

I sold him the part. It was brand new.... and I did warn him in advance that the "brand new" quality stinks. In fact, I have about 10 more of those triangles in stock, and they *ALL* blow monkey butts. Strangely, the 348 console pieces arrive in perfect condition, all the 355 parts are pristine when they arrive, etc. etc. But these mirror triangles absolutely suck.

Most come sealed in a plastic bag. I have one that is still shrink wrapped on the cardboard backing plate, but I'm afraid to open it and disturb the hermetic seal. It is appaling that Ferrari allows a subcontractor to make this crap. My only theory is that mirror triangles had a gigantic production run in 1990, and they're all still sitting on the shelves in Italy and New Jersey. While they sit in those inventories, they begin to melt and goo. Other items like ashtrays, console plates, etc are in constant production (through a subcontractor, probably), so they remain "fresh".

I wish we could get an Fchatter in the plastics business to crank out about 100 of these in a normal, standard black plastic.

I am not complaining . I had a cracked one so I am way better off spending a few minutes cleaning it up and painting it .
