Not really worthy of a penalty. Only reason anyone would care is because it's Hamilton. Nobody has anything to say about Button and whomever else it was
+1 He did an instalation lap on one set and then they changed to another. What could he have gained? They removed the set that got a lap so he's down that set should it rain.
I honestly don't know what to say, just because I guess I am somewhat bias and already sick from this year's BS. However, everyone always compares the greats with LH and there is always the valid argument that they did few unsportsmanlike things in their careers. But is it just me or the Hamster really was involved in more controversial moments this year than Schumacher had during his entire career? If this was Schumi Flavio would be pacing the pits beaching in every camera he saw how this can not be allowed, Keke would say that Schumacher has fallen to a new low, Alonshole would have said that F1 is no longer a sport and McCheaters would have appealed. But then again it is Goldenboy&co, so the rules I guess are flexible.
Rules are rules. What they could have gained? Information about which kind of tires works best? One lap is enough to determine that. Taking away one set isn't going to hurt them either because in wet races you don't use that many sets. Also who makes the decision which set is taken away - the full wets or the normal ones? McLaren? This reeks of favoritism. The Ferraris were severely punished for a similar mistake which was caused by the FIA/stewards itself in Japan. Talk about two different sets of rules.
Big surprise! Between safety car help, crane help and knowledge of Ferrari brake system, Kimi may not have a chance .... Actually I am not sad about no penalty. I want to see a great race between all four cars up front.
If they had the balls they would have banned McLaren and their drivers from the championship. Letting them continue is the biggest form of favoritism I can think of. p.s. If it was Ferrari in the same position as McLaren I would have said the same.
I know all that. Well, the Bernie part at least. The FIA nor Bernie give a **** about racing or spectators. Maybe Alonso was right when he said F1 isn't a sport anymore.
