Like MSs attempt on RB at the Indy "race". Or FA's attempt on LH this year. Fisi cutting MSs tire at Brasil (?). Like FA said "F1 is no longer a sport".
Ferrari wont let Massa win unless Kimi has no chance of the Title. Massa will be motivated. Ferrari 1-2. Lewis will hopefully play defense ( I'll forgive you this once ) and FA ? Mechanical problems on the horizon. DNF
LOL... How about this... let's say Massa wins the Brazil GP with a Ferrari 1-2 finish with Kimi in 3rd. ... and Hamilton messes up in Q2 and fails to make it to Q3. Hamilton races up the ranks to finish 8th, and just gets 1 point. ... Alonso just barely misses the Podium, and finishes 4th to get 5 points. Then.. Raikkonen, Alonso and Hamilton all have a 3-way tie with 108 points each... then what? ~shahedc Image Unavailable, Please Login
The funny part about LH having not claimed the title in China is, that McLaren will have to play it straight for Alonso: They can't let Alonso's engine go Kablamo as Kimi still has a chance for the title. Had LH clinched the title at Shanghai, I'm 100% certain his Mercedes would have gone Kablamo in Brazil. But now they have to give him equal or almost equal equipment. Hahaha.
I still like my own scenario better: The one where the Ferrari boys and Alonso beat LH. But to no avail. It's like Prost vs Lauda in 84: Lost the championship by half a point. Ah, that hurts. He was crying on the podium.
I think if Hamilton would have won it in China, than Alonso would have been gone from the team. I think we would have has PDLaRosa in the car for Brasil.
That's what the Speed guys said. Very possible. I just enjoy the fact that RD has to live with that thorn in his side for another 10 days.
LOL so do I. Too bad they can't trade Massa to McLaren and FA to Ferrari for the last race, that would really spice things up, wouldn't you agree?
Geez, what perverted brain thought of that?! The possibilities are endless. I could see Massa then go for an all out victory and FA duking it out vs Kimi for the title. Unreal. The best part of that scenario: Ferrari would have a much greater chance in crowning their world champion. But what kind of a champion would that be? In the wrong car until the last season. I gotta stop now, my head explodes....
With FA almost certainly going back to Renault, it increases the possibility of him deliberately trying to take out LH. If he actually does try to pull that ****, I hope he gets banned from F1 for life!!!
Why would he do that?, he has a good chance of winning the WDC himself! There is a very good chance, especially if Alonso is right up behind pushing LH really hard, that LH takes himself out as the pressure builds. That will be the race plan that Alonso will be after. He does not want to be leading LH, as LH will settle for second, but if LH is leading and being hounded LH might get nervous about possible contact, ego, etc. and make another mistake. Pete
The real problem with his theory is that anybody starting in a McLaren 8th on the grid, as long as the car keeps going, will easily make 4th ... There is that bigger performance difference in F1. Pete
BTW, I meant Heidfeld in 3rd... You can see by the snapshot of the spreadsheet that I attached to my post! It's a typo, guys! ~shahedc .
Kimi wins as it would go to the one with the most race wins... Kimi needs to do it tie-up the points, but that will require that he shares a bit more of his bad luck with Hamilton......
I highly doubt Alonso and Hamilton will take each other out. Alonso was dejected and a broken man when he crashed out before - now he sees his chance for his 3rd win in a row. He wants that WAAAAAY more than he cares about Hamilton losing/winning, IMO. Also, lets say Hamilton starts to pull away... Alonso isn't going to take him out firstly because it would be obvious, and secondly (and mostly) because he will still be thinking "I can get him at the pit stop". More than likely, they will not even be within contact distance of each other except near the beginning. Kimi wants to win also - very badly. I don't think he can do it. I don't think Alonso can do it either. At most tracks, either the McLarens or Ferraris have the distinct advantage. At Brazil, I think it will be the McLarens that will, because as I've heard it will be soft tires which are sub-optimal for Ferrari. I think McLaren will qualify 1-2 and if that happens, if Lewis is smart, he will be MORE than happy to sit in 2nd spot and take the WDC win. No point trying to push the issue with Alonso. If he gets pole, if Alonso pushes the issue at the start, let him take the position and cruise to a WDC win. I am divided about who I want to win. Overall I want Hamilton to win the WDC. I would prefer Kimi personally as a driver, but with Luca's idiotic comments and outrageous whining, I am starting to want Ferrari not to take the WDC, just because it will seriously piss off Luca. I also like the idea of someone younger than Fernando taking his "youngest WDC winner" record away from him, only 2 years after he got it. Also, Hamilton would get another record - only rookie WDC winner ever. But I would like Kimi to win 3 or 4 WDC's overall
