Brought home a 2023 Roma yesterday. I parked in my highrise garage. This morning I started the car and got the “break in attempted message”. I read the manual and it didn’t answer what I’m curious of.

what exactly does it take to trigger this? Can just looking through the glass trigger this or does someone need to try to open the door? Can it be triggered by vibration like another cars exhaust?

It seems a break in message would require multiple attempts of both handle and vibration. Did you call the dealer and ask the service manager this question?

My 599 with Tubi exhaust sets off my '23 M850xi regularly.

Do you get a “break in attempted message” or alarm triggered only?

My 308 does not cry every time there is thunder but it does still sound the buzzer when the key is turned on. Used to hate that but I like it now for nostalgia sake ;)
