    Has anyone seen this warning appear - "Break in Attempted"? I got this warning on my F12 this afternoon. I was parked at my bank in broad daylight, in view of a large office building, so I doubt that someone actually attempted to break in. I did check around the car for any signs of a break in and found none. So I assume a false alarm. However, I am curious what a potential bad guy would have to do to cause this warning to appear. Would it require an actual intrusion, or just someone causing the motion sensor alarm to go off? The manual only states that an intrusion was attempted (page 21 of the manual). No harm, no foul (this time).

    I would have thought this message would be triggered by either the motion sensor inside the car or a door/trunk switch, both whilst the car is locked.

    A long shot but I noticed once on my F12 that although the boot (trunk) appeared closed, when I locked the car via remote, I got the hazards flash and beep to say that it wasn't locked. Maybe that was your trigger?

    I had the same message come up in my old FF when I restarted the car after inadvertently setting off the alarm, so sounds like a sensor was triggered whilst parked.

    Thanks for the responses. I am chalking this one up to a false alarm. Could be that I did not close the door properly when I went into the bank, or it was just a gremlin in the system. All is good. Loving the car.
