be it ferrari, lambo, maserati, whatever... around here i get to hear about many of the foibles of these otherwise supercars, and people going on about how much it costs to do such-and-such to fix it and whatnot.

what i'd like to hear about is not so much maintenance vs mileage, but vs "driveage". you hear occasional mention of those not willing to "risk" long distance or daily driving, but how many "breakdowns" (open terminology) happen just in normal driving vs WOT and hard driving?

Normal commuting your car is more suseptable to damage..rear enders parkinglot dings etc. A Ferrari is quite capable of day to day driveing duties but most choose not to do it becuase of the risks of damage to the car. Older Ferrari's tend to run a but hot in traffic but nothing really that would harm the enigne if the car is taken care of. I got stuck in a 3hour traffic jam in my 308 just last week in approx 85 dergge heat. Car ran great..temp started to creep up but never went past the half mark. Oil temp was sitting at about 210.
