I'm up for Saturday. I've got the Ms/Yankees on Sun - Tim
Man! Thats 60 miles one way for me just to get to the starting point! I may have to beg off on this one.
Come on Dana.....a little mileage never hurt anyone Keep up with the competition would ya!!! Enjoy guys....wont be making this one. I'll be in Modena/Maranello instead on Sunday. Oh the sacrifices I make
we can start from Issaquah instead of Bellevue ... take I90 and crossover using 18 to 169 if that helps
Why are there two routes marked on the map?.............and what about breakfast?? I propose breakfast first so that people who don't want to go on the run afterwards can still come to hang out at breakfast. Thoughts?......aka "Breakfast Club"
Sorry, I'm going to miss another breakfast club drive.... I'm leaving for a week in MONTEREY tomorrow morning! Hope to see you guys at Bruno's party on Sunday (8/22). Gary
There are two maps. The upper one runs south and ends at Buckley, bottom of the page. The lower map starts at Buckley, top of page and runs south.
I think if we leave early enough its probably an hour and a half at the most one way................ How bout make it a point to get to Buckley by 8am to have breakfast..........then hit the second leg?
So did anyone decide on Saturday or Sunday and where are you going to meet in Buckley? If I can make it I'll just meet everyone there! John
I think the second leg starts at Enumclaw (as Thomas had indicated initially). That's where 410 starts if you check it out on a more detailed map.
I can do Sat, but if you do Sunday, I'll follow and have breakfast with everyone, then head back for the ball game. So, either day works for me! - Tim
Yes it is Seattle Area -> Enumclaw -> Chinook Pass I had to split the map to get show the complete path For breakfast I suggest Greenwater Lodge it is 2/3 of the way I am not a breakfast guy but the place is recommended Greenwater Lodge Coffee Shop 58106 State Route 410 East Enumclaw, WA 98022-8000 Phone: (360) 663-0290 "Fortified with a 1950s style lunch, we continued on Highway 410 through Enumclaw past the replanted forests and across a small bridge into Greenwater. Here is the home of the Greenwater Lodge an oasis alongside the White River. For travelers the Greenwater Lodge offers breakfast, lunch and dinner with all the usual combinations of eggs, sandwiches and grilled meats. Touring motorcyclers, town folk and kayakers off the river all converge at Greenwater Lodge. Where the difference lies is in the restaurants incredible deck, within ear shot of the rushing water that sooths the jangled nerves from the traffic fight from Seattle while it prepares you for the peacefulness of The Mountain. Even while full from lunch, the pie and a steamy cup of coffee hit the spot. The dinner menu holds some surprises as well. Much more uptown than one would expect."
I've been to the Greenwater Lodge for lunch with my dad. Good food, beautiful area. Sorry I can't make it. Have fun guys!
Bobdad speaking. As I was reading the plans to do the Enumclaw drive I thought of two places that are very good stops and one of them was Greenwater. Great food and darn nice people as well as absolutely beautiful surroundings and good driving roads for the F-cars. Another good stop for food and absolutely delicious and huge pies is the Black Diamond Bakery in beautiful downtown Black Diamond. Have a fun drive, guys. Bobdad
