OK, how about an early morning breakfast run? 8:00am ish? Eric knows this great pancake house (In Jersey). We drive, have breakfast, those who have to split early (Eric, Vik) take off on full bellys and those that want drive down to Classic Coach for a cup of cappucino & check out the cars there for their tech inspection & hook up with fellow Fchat folks (Rehan, Keith) about 11:30ish to finish the day with a run to Bear Mountain. Hopefully the run ends by 2. We need folks to join in Utkarsh, Rob Ferretti, Noah, Emil, Lupe .....? and a quick morning route in the Bergen county area. suggestions?
I need to be at CC around 8:30 because i am helping them with the setup, so i don't think i can make the early breakfast unless you guys want to do it an ridiculously early hour.
They better be hookin' you up Rehan for helpin' them out! ;-) I'm heading down to my tech in Chatham right now to pick up my car. Then have to get it back up to Ridgewood for an alignment (wishful thinking). I'll chime in later and let you know my status... Thanks for setting this up Clyde...I hope I can make it.
Ok, just got back from running around all afternoon in order to get my car back and get it set up for road use. Unfortunately, I couldn't get anoyone to do an alignment on my car until Monday morning at the earliest and hence I'm "out" for tomorrow morning. The good news is that I just need an alignment and some Porsche center caps and I should be all set. Here are some pics of the "new again" 993... Very nice eric I won't be able to make it tomorrow morning, there's an India-Pakistan cricket game STARTING at 11:30pm tonight and will likely go on to 6am.
Eric- love the wheel- looks like a completely new stance on the car- much more aggressive. Can't wait to borrow it for a weekend !
Thanks Kenny. You'll have to ask Nicole in order to borrow the 993...it is hers after all. ;-) Here's a clip of some of the mods that I did while she was in the shop for the past few weeks. After a good deal of stress regarding logistical and unforseen problems I'm happy that she's back in her new and improved form. Complete Clutch Assembly M033 ROW Suspension + TT Euro Sways Hood Shocks all around Roock Competition Wheels RSR Exhaust Short Shift Kit New Battery Oil Change ...and a few seals and hoses while the engine was out Now just a complete alignment, some new painted center caps and a detail and the project with be complete. Oh and I also went ahead and got a personalized plate for it (something I never thought I would do). Should be here in a couple of weeks.
Can not make it tomorrow. My girlfriend just told me about a big track meet tomorrow so I will be there cheering.
Eric - The mods looks hot. Good to see the old faithful back in her home. Get her aligned...and lets roll!
Thanks bro...you know I'm workin' on it and will get back out there as soon as possible! See you soon...
Sorry Clyde Im out as well. Family needs. Still thinkin of doing Tobay on Sun? Eric - the 993 looks hot hot hot - you shldve started your own thread for it. Cant wait to hear it. Im not an aftermarket wheels kinda guy, but the Roocks are sweet. I think somebody jacked your center caps in that ghetto of yours
BTW Eric... Im no avatar master, but try any of these... I made the car somewhat bigger and added the P's homeland colors to fill the uneven void. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks G-money, yeah it's a real rough neighborhood over here and Porsche center caps are in high demand. ;-) I have a fresh set on the way and should be here by Tuesday from da motha land. To be honest with you, these pics don't do the car justice. It looks sooo much better in person and I look forward to one of you expert photographers shooting her on a run. I feel like a kid with a new toy in the garage...
SO let me get this straight. Either it's a guy meet and she's going to watch guys butts run around a track in shorts or it's a girl meet that your going to watch girls butts (and tops) run around a track. All instead of driving. Hmmmmmm. Okay
Well, it wasn't a breakfast run & it wasn't a Bear mountain run. I met up with Vik & Christina in his 355 & caught the turnpike down to Classic Coach. Hooked up with a silver 360 down the tpk. If your on this list guy, you have a very pretty gf/so. CC was quite a nice event. *lots* of cars. Pastries & Coffee in the morning, great sandwiches/pizza/spread in the afternoon. Frank does it right. Vik, Christina, Noah, Rehan, Lupe and I had a nice afternoon and saw some amazing cars. Besides what was in the shop, there was a Mercedees SLR, F50, (2) F40s, 333, 330, 250, 308s, 328, 348, 355s, 360s, Stradale, challenge cars, Testarossas, Quatroporte, Diablo roadsters, Merci Roadsters, Gallardos, an Arbath, Mondis, Mondi 8s, Dinos....and once wild looking custom-built dino that belongs to one of the mechanics.....I'll post pics later. And if you've been down in the shop, of course there was the Enzo, Diablo SV, maseratis out the wazoo, (3) 512BBs, 30's Rolls Royce...etc etc. Peek back later for two major surprises.... Well, ok. One is a pic of Lupe standing in the inside of his 355 while the engine is out for it's major. the other you'll just have to wait until later for. Great day, great drive, great friends, wonderful host. Thanks Classic!
Clyde the gathering was great was good to hook up with the boys. Noah,Vik,Rehan and the rest of the crew what a show of cars.
