Thanks so much guys for a great day. Awesome turn out, unreal weather. I really enjoyed my lengthy time behind the countach, made this 29 year old feel 8 again. I have lots of pics...I uploaded only about 1/3 of them, since I am a newb here can't post em. Nats CS seems to be in half my photos, just too beautiful. Like I said, lots more where this came from that I am going to have some fun with in photoshop this week, maybe post them up my site later.... http://www.flickr.com/photos/51678948@N00/sets/72157622762866334/ The drive home really was a treat getting to drive both the lovefab nsx and lotus super 7. Quick video of my first bit of driving with the nsx...video does it no justice at all.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jipKJm5SZrc Thanks again to the organizers...what a great november drive!
Great turn out. I had a great time. My favortie part was the spirited driving.. Looking forward to spring time meets. Be safe.
Ryan, we LOL'ed from that video (you and Jon giggled like schoolgirls too, eh? ;-) As Cody always says, it only takes one hit from the boost crack pipe and you're addicted...........the first one is always free ;^D We need to get some hi-res shots of the LoveFab car to you, so you can work your graphic magic on it (and it's stablemate). It was great having you along for the drive, MANY thanks to Nat and the rest of the FOC crew for a righteous good time! Brian & Judi
I am glad the time behind me was fun, I am not sure what car you were in? I always wonder what it looks and sounds like from outside the car? It really was a very enjoyable day. Could not have asked for better weather and a great turn out. Thank you to all who put it together and having me be able to join in.
I was in the Red NSX. I know its supposedly hard to see anything out the back of a Countach, but I was back there. The sound was unreal. I'd be happy to drive your car around for you so you can hear it from the outside sometime. Just trying to be helpful.
Thank you for the kind jesture. Very thoughtful. LOL Might have to take you up on that next time. Really was fun, had NO IDEA where I was at but some nice roads. Where did the drive finally end at? The 550, the black Gallardo, and myself jumped on 69 when we got to that point and headed back. How much of the ride did we miss?
Thanks for the photos Isaac. I had great time, between the Viper and Gallardo in front of me i had a nice sound track for the drive My photos are here - http://www.speed-photos.net/Automotive-Photography/Driving-Events/Breakfest-and-drive-this/10253289_Uf3i9#707246986_S8d4n
You didn't miss too much. We stopped a bit further up the road at the gas station for a bit, everybody socialized and we mostly broke off from there. I thought it was a fantastic day. I will be missing today in another month or two. Amazing turnout, thanks for all the pics! Interesting looking Viper, Hennessey? how much HP did it have?
Many thanks for everyone that came out and enjoyed the day with us.It was a perfect day to end the driving season....FOC-Michigan
The more I look at that Viper the more I like it. Subtle black flames on a black car. Any more pictures of it please?
Really nice pics guys!!! I had a great time on a beautiful day. It was nice to "exercise" the turbo properly!! Thanks to the organizers and really will be looking forward to the next opportunity to drive with a great group of guys (and gals!!!)
Webby: Only Hennessey parts are the rear fascia, front fascia and splitter. I need a new splitter, but refuse to spend ANY money with that guy!!! The powertrain is stock 1997 -- 450HP, 495 ft.lbs. I finally put hi-flow cats and a Bellanger cat-back exhaust on it late this summer for a MUCHO improved sound, IMHO! Color = non-stock Viper, but stock Dodge/Chrysler deep slate pearl with Viper black on the from fascia with silver in the flame tips & bellies. Finding the right colors took three times longer than the actually painting! The wheel covers are by Moon -- still in business in SoCal -- over stock Viper wheels. 'Nuff for now?
More pictures? Here's my favorite: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/images/attach/jpg.gif Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks! Yeah I've heard bad things about Hennessey but I do like the front fascia. I love your Viper, especially the colors and rim covers! Hope you enjoy it for many years to come
Looks like an awesome time was had! Sorry couldnt make it.... Get ready for the 2010 Midwest Motoring season thou we got some big sponsors pulling thru which means some big events. Get your cars ready for the spring opener with a trackday event.
Took this shot of the 911 turbo one handed 90 miles an hour around the turn through the windshield and shifiting up and through the gears...TOP THAT ISAAC..... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Nobody can top Marc's abilities! I wont even pretend to try to replicate his talent... or the size of his balls LOL.
Marc H. with the 355 GTS... The story is pretty crazy. Marc: I took this picture with the speedo buried Mike: So Marc, you have one hand for the gas and brake, the other to steer? Marc: Yes Mike: So who took the picture? Marc: I did Image Unavailable, Please Login
