On CNN. No details that I've seen yet.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26659458/ He's a pain in the ass, with one of the largest ego's in the world. I just think it's funny.
One of the most prolific idiots, in terms of perpetuating race resentment, that we have been forced to endure in a while! WGAF?
The celebrity Web site TMZ.com is reporting that West smashed the camera of a photographer in the American Airlines terminal at LAX. TMZ says one of its photographers began videotaping the scene and the bodyguard stopped him and asked for the camera. The bodyguard then grabbed the video camera and threw it to the ground. The incident happened before West and his bodyguard, who was not identified, cleared a security screening at the airport. so because his bodyguard smashed the camera and he got arrested? That is like a limo driver running a light and the passenger gets the ticket.
damn, wish it was worse, than we could see less of him in the future..now he just gets more press and will no doubt open his mouth and offend EVERYONE again...
Erik, our cameraman, is on his way back to our offices now, after being interviewed by LAX Police. Here's what happened that led to Kanye West's vandalism arrest at LAX. Erik says he was at Terminal 4 (American Airlines) when he noticed a still photog taking several pictures of Kanye West. Erik says West rushed the photog and grabbed his camera. A struggle ensued and the still guy was screaming, "Police, help!" Erik says Kanye then took the still camera and threw it on the ground, breaking it into pieces. Erik then went over to Kanye, his camera rolling, when Kanye's bodyguard walked up to him, realized Erik was taping, and said, "Give me the camera, give me the camera." Erik responded that he had a press pass and had a right to shoot. The assistant then grabbed the camera, ripped off the mic and viewfinder and smashed it to the ground. Erik says Kanye then tried to leave to board his plane, but cops stopped him before he got to security. The cops then interviewed Erik, the still photog, Kanye and his assistant.. This is where it gets crazy. The cops asked Erik if he videotaped the incident and Erik said he had. That's when Kanye lunged toward him and said, "Give me the fu***ng videotape." Cops had to restrain Kanye as he tried coming at Erik. The videotape is on its way back to our offices. We will post shortly. http://www.tmz.com/2008/09/11/how-the-kanye-arrest-went-down/
You can take the thug out of the hood but you can't take the hood out of the thug. Billions of people in the world and this is the best that CNN can do? For shame!
Remember one of the first post Katrina shows he was on with Chris Tucker and Mike Myers. He had the dumb assness to said that Bush's didn't care about black people. Chris just sort of looked at him dumbfounded. It is hard to shut Kris Tucker up but he did it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDMyArnIdzY&feature=related
I agree. Something needs to be done. But more so when it involved moving vehicles and the like. But it sounds like he wasn't really in Kanye's space and Kanye went out of his way to smash the camera. Kanye hates white people.
Ill take the middle ground here. I cant stand Kanye...hes a racist and an *****. However can you imagine what its like to have people with cameras following you around 24/7 intruding on everything you do ??? Ive hung out with my share of celebs and its aggravating...REALLY aggravating. And people DO have bad days and not everyone can handle it as well as someone else. We dont know what was going on in Kanyes personal life at that moment. maybe a close friend or family member just found out they are seriously ill...who knows. We have a few hotheads here on FChat that I would bet , at least once, would go ballistic on the paparazzi if they were being followed around 24/7. Not saying I know this is the case with this particular incident...just saying I can see another side to all this and life isnt black and white.
Yea, we all know Kayne has his moments.... Not to troll, but some girl is selling her v-card....so far its up at 275k....crazy!!!!
Did you just forget what you typed, bro? You just posted that Kanye smashed a camera as well as the bodyguard. Both are guilty.
Not a hot head per se, but known to lose my temper at times and do things I've regretted. I'd probably be one of the who smashed a camera. I don't get the paparazzi mindset. If I were to see a celebrity/athlete I really wanted to meet, I couldn't bring myself to bother them. They get pestered enough, and if they're alone I'm sure they prefer it to be that way.
Agree 100%. Kanye is a tool, we all know it. That said, it would drive me mad to have photogs following me all the time and snapping away at the most mundane things. I've got some friends who are celebs/pro athletes and it's insane what people in public light go through with the intrusiveness of paparatzzo. Being around that is enough to drive the most sane person over the line, and I think having their camera smashed is getting off lucky for some of these guys. I believe there needs to be laws put in place to mandate further distance being kept (ie. 50'), but I fear that would only increase the value of the 'best' close-up shots and exacerbate the problem.
