hello i have a question first ferrari 2006 f430 spyder purchased about month ago . it has front and rear michelin pilot sport cup 2 . 50% life i will change them soon this is only when I'm on a stop 1st to 2nd . but free way pulls no issue but being a new ferrari owner .. is it normal when i drive in race mode. i full throttle it . it burns tires like crazy. breaks traction . is it the tires need to replace or is this normal to break traction on first gear its pretty bad and i noticed some wheel hop too thanks please let me know. if so which tires should i get? after? thanks
Sound like you bought a great car. It's supposed to do that. Enjoy it!!! or if not, this may not be the car for u.
In race mode traction control is less intrusive, suppose to allow wheel spin, if you keep the manettino in the middle (sport mode) will manage the spin better. Regardless if you stump on the pedal 430 will brake traction.
The traction control in my 360 would intervene on a 2-3 gear change when the back tires were over half gone. 430 would be worse especially on a 1-2 change. Get new rear tires.
I used TC a few times don't bother with it now. Tyres go off with age, smoke-em up and get some new ones. 👍
Even in sport, it will allow the rear to break loose and swing wide. Race is worse of course. You have to get way out of shape before it will cut power. Dave
What is the " build date " on your rear tires? They may be old, hardening, and making it easier to spin the tires as you describe. Be safe! S
