the make your own pizza at home thread got me thinking. what places are your favorite for pizza that isnt homemade? let's keep it narrowed down to brick oven/margherita style as then we dont need the whole ny/chicago argument to come up.

for me, all a good pizza needs is a great dough, great tomato sauce, great cheese (preferrably bufala mozzarella) and basil and olive oil etc.

being from Northern NJ, there is no shortage of great pizza places. but some of the best ones i've ever had have been from outside of NJ.

the absolute best i have ever had was at una pizza napolenta in san francisco. just amazing. i've had it once, but i loved every bite.

also great is rosso pomodoro in naples florida. i get the verace.

believe it or not, the place in epcot in disney world is great

in NJ i love A Mano in ridgewood. it's my favorite in the area. closely followed by grimalidi's in brooklyn (or hoboken if you need it to be closer)

those i all consider tier 1. the best ones i've been to

tier 2. i love but dont consider as good.

emma's brick oven in cranford nj

brooklyn's brick oven chain in northern nj

    varasano's in atlanta
