Is re-soldering the fuse at the back of the Brico Pram lighter an acceptable fix? Can't find a new one. Maybe a better way to go with a fusible link? I doubt it will ever be used except for demonstrating it is functional.

I repaired my original Dino lighter by soldering the parts together including a 10 or 16 amp flat type automotive fuse and it's been working ever since. Never use it for smoking but often engage it to entertain the passenger with that wonderful bell sound when it's gloving hot. Unfortunately no pictures.

    Best, Peter

The first time I tried to use mine I was afraid I was going to set my console on fire. I kept waiting for it to pop out and thought it was stuck.
