I bought an "estate" or used bridal set from zales for my wife. I want to buy an extral wedding band that matches the set but zales did not know any history on the ring and I cant find it anywhere online.

any ideas on how to find out where the ring came from or how to find the setting?

    thanks

Find a local custom jewelry maker. They'll be able to match the look and make whatever you want.
Quality will likely be good and the cost of the end result will likely be reasonable.

having worked in fine jewelry for a few years - you have two choices...

1- the easiest way- take it to an actual jeweler or ask zales to create a matching band. (often they can just be ordered as mountings if your sales rep actually looks through their books- it may take a while but its there)

2- providing the ring has not been polished a ton- sometimes different creators stamp the inside with their logo or name, someplace next to the karat weight stamp. (it may be there or it may not )
