No reason to thank me. Only thanks to the folks that were able to come out to support Colton. What a great bunch of people. I am so happy know all of you.

Our thoughts will be with Colton tomorrow.

Please, let us know how he is doing after his surgery. I think I can safely say all our prayers are for his well being! We al wish to hear of a good outcome and another chance to spend some time once again with Colton!!

just wanted to let you all know that I have NOT heard anything. I did call his mother tonight and left a cell phone message. I told her she could call me anytime. ICUs don't usually allow cell phones.

I will post as soon as I hear anything. I hope that no news is good news.

Sorry I missed it guys couldn't make it out of the office with the little one

 

Got a call from Colton's mother this AM. The neurosurgeon thinks it went well. Most of the tumor was removed. Re-imaging today with MRI to check. Colton is heavily sedated but was able to move extremities and talk. No obvious neuro deficits noted but will know more as he wakes up. Jeff's dad will try to update us more today. Will determine later is he needs chemo and/or radiation therapy (depends on how much of the tumor was removed and exact type of tumor).

I wanted to take a minute and update everyone. Colton was in surgery for almost eight hours yesterday. The doctor said, "it was a very dramatic surgery that went phenomenally well". They did an MRI today and the preliminary results indicate that they got got all of the tumor. Radiology still has to review it but the doctor thinks he got it all. Colton is in a lot of pain but the good news is that they moved him out of ICU this evening.

Doin' good, Sonny. Thanks for asking. I'll tell Marty you also asked about him, too. We don't want him to feel left out.

 

I want to let everyone know that Colton's recovery is going really well. He still has some difficulties swallowing since the nerves that are responsible for this are swollen from the surgery. His voice is also really muffled and raspy due to the same reason. The doctors are optimistic that he'll fully recover from these issues. Colton and his Mother will be going back to Doernbechers Children's Hospital on January 3 for his first post surgery check up.

On behalf of Colton and the rest of our family we hope you all have a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.
