Hello all! Here’s the deal, bring a trailer triple black 2010 458 13k miles. 5 owners. Deceased owner, no service records to speak of, beat up underside plastic, push back on ppi with suggestion that ppi is performed on site, nick on wheels, blah blah blah! I’m the high bidder. What’s the collective’s opinion on this pig in a poke! Is 125k the down payment on a 300k mortgage? How bad can it possibly get! Tranny 40k shocks for 5k clutch too? Pundit’s please chime in!!! Thank you!

Well, several days left in the auction so you won't be the final bidder at $125k. It's typical that the undertray has scratches and even the diffuser fins, especially when you back into a parking space and scrape against a parking curb, I've done that. Made me so angry at the time. I wouldn't be so concerned about the under tray. However, picture 112 would give me pause because that will need to be repaired. The leather is loose. The rest of the wear and tear looks normal to me. I would rather they have removed the under tray and took pictures to see if there are any active leaks. A video going through and showing the infotainment center and radio, cd player working. If the stereo and cd player aren't working, you'll be shocked at what it costs to replace that unit.

I’m skeptical the only test drive was done years ago.

I also don’t get any BaT test drive when the car is hammered to high speeds.

When I see a Bat video I want to see it run hard. At least for just a few. I want do know that the person isn’t afraid to run it hard and not just ***** foot around.
On all of my sales videos I always ran them up to redline.

458s seem to be on the rise lately. Low mile , well
Optioned black / black 458 like this one. Even with some missing current information the cars are so reliable has to still be 190k + car. 125k be a nice down payment . Properly marketed 210k . Somone probably going to get a good deal on this but it’s not going to be anywhere near 125k

So are you Moabslickrock? If so, take the power warranty like I did, in which I had to have my tranny replaced to the tune of $40k (on Ferrari).
You will also not lose, they will only keep appreciating. I bought mine in March '20 w/ only 4k on the clock as a second owner for $190k!

Trans sensor issue is now fixed below $10,000 ... if he's the high bidder he stole that car IMO , got it at wholesale dealer auction price because of a terrible listing, seller that didn't seem to know anything about the car, and its an estate sale...

  11. I think for that vintage and ODO (2010 and 13k), it was great price for the seller

Impossible if solid buy for seller without having a recent local inspection. Otherwise, too much speculation for me. YMMV.

That said, hope new buyer enjoys the car a bunch.

Correct on a sensor issue @ $10k, which is what my dealership thought. However after reports were sent to Ferrari, they said to give me a new box, which was one of only 2 in the country at the time. Installed price $40k!

And yes, that was an absolute steal. Seller must have been desperate....

Bet on replacing the box and not getting it repaired. I replaced mine recently over $40k.

Assume at Ferrari dealership? Any options you looked into for 3rd party authorized service shop?
