Does anyone have any issues with car auction sites like BaT/Cars&Bids? Fees, dealers, variety, features, anything?

Have you looked at Sothebys Motorsport new platform
They’ve taken some of the best things from the sites you mentioned, and got rid of the negatives

I think there is a massive problem with it... But the market doesn't seem to care.

    Little recourse regarding anything.

Bring a trailer encourages picture of vehicles in the shadows which hides true condition of the car but makes for the best presentation of a photograph and particularly paint on an automobile.

Bring a trailer assumes zero responsibility for anything.

Sort of an unregulated comment section that can derail an auction.

The "bring a trailer alumni" thing is idiotic. But... Hey... I guess that's their choice.

    I don't pay a 5k vig to eBay...

Also... To pay 5k plus pay literally top dollar for every car listed...

I guess my issue is bring a trailer charges a premium for their offering and the prices are premium plus... Plus the fee.

    The value is... Where?

I know I'm old school. Value and all.

    Well, yes and no.

It is a seller issue, but the underlying issue is BAT doesn't care who their sellers are and doesn't support buyers who have issues with sellers, right?

Ebay has had many more years to develop its 100% ambivalent attitude towards buyers, BAT seems to have done the same in just a couple years. BAT deals with a lot higher end stuff than 90% of what ebay sells. Kind of apples and oranges, or maybe VW Bugs and Porsche 912's...
