Just clicked over 37k klms today. That's 5k klms since Feb. 15. Car is running like a dream. But my wife says I am losing money with every klm I drive. It's not an investment, it's a passion so bugger the depreciation. But, then I started thinking, 'what will happen when I want to move up to a 458, assuming I could EVER move up to a 458.?' Will the fact that 430's can't be imported easily like the 360 keep their price more buoyant? The car is and will always be maintained correctly. With all the experience you blokes have, what are your thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Simple, just drive the car and enjoy. Forget about the resale value or putting too many km's on it. Drive it, enjoy and flick it when the time comes to buy a 458. 5000 km's in the 4+ weeks seems like you are enjoying the **** out of it!
I enjoy driving mine..............but I ain't got no time. *Sounds like a country song* And I ain't trading up, will keep it and buy another 'modern' one in future so I am definitely not worried about racking up the km's in the old girl. But I must say, have been driving it again over the last 3 weeks to work and back as I have it parked in the carport out the front. It makes life so much easier hitting an electric garage door to drive the car in and out. Taking it to work and back and doing some running around on days off makes it a very useful daily driver for me. Car now has 43,500 km on it, bought it with 34,500 km 10 years ago. And a recent pic of it if you forgot what it looked like. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Great looking car Pap! I was out in mine again today. Up to 37500. I agree with you mate. The novelty will wear off eventually, even if its at 100k! Bugger it, it bought it to drive it! Are you coming down to the National Rally mate?
Nothing too exciting. However, my Profile is up to date. Don't ask me about the F car I should have bought but didn't in September 2013.
That does sound good, but too many things going on at this point in time Horsey. Kids, work, family. I am working nights at the moment, but every morning I am out the front working on cars. Just finished a timing belt job this morning for a customer, sleep time now...................i'll be up at 4 pm. Do timing belts for everyone else but on my own Ferrari. Thanks again mate. I absolutely love it. Good to hear, just drive the wheels off it and enjoy. You will find as long as it's well serviced and maintained, "high" mileage will not deter potential future buyers or the cars value as much as you think. Trade up to a 458 Spider in 8 years time when prices are more realistic for the average bloke. In that 8 years, save you cash and it will be a cheap change over for you. And I won't be making the Rally this year mate. No time, but am hoping to attend one, one day. Might wait for the next QLD one and have a go at that one. The kids will be more grown up then and life will have hopefully slowed down a little by then. At the moment, life is flying past at 100 miles per hour. Which Ferrari is this Wes? Never heard of this mate, spill the beans!
