Love the little front spoilers and stance of your 2 Bs. Does the top fit over the roll bar ok on the silver one? If so, what brand is it? Thanks
Both cars have roll bars that work fine with the top up. Unfortunately I do not remember the make of either, and they have long since been refinished and repainted. A distinguishing feature of MG roll bars is how they are mounted to the body - a proper design requires bolting to something solid rather than just sheetmetal. Both spoilers are of the original Special Tuning design. The most recent one was put on the silver MGB several years ago. I doubt if I will ever be able to convince my (British) sister in law to bring another one back from the UK packed as flight baggage. It is oversize, bulky, quite delicate, and a major pain to transport. I was skeptical of their advantage until I made a direct comparison. If the front intake is blanked off, the benefits of less undercar air is very noticeable even at modest speed.

Correct! And as stated in my first post. The Wingfield recreations built by D.K. Engineering are the closest you can get to the real D-types. Our particular example was a dry-sumped 3.4, full alloy body, etc. The car was an absolute blast to drive and had gob's of torque. I miss it dearly!

These pictures are from the showroom where the car was being sold before I purchased it. I purcahsed it as a "package deal" with the RS Clone. It is nicely modded. The previous owner did an excellent restoration on the car and it is better than stock. It has: Sport Suspension - Front Suspension Tube Shock Conversion 5-speed overdrive transmission conversion 1275cc engine (est @ 100hp) - freshly rebuilt with Isky Cams and Webber Carbs. Sport exhaust Also: King pins, engine mounts, suspension springs, suspension bushings, brake lines, rotors, fuel pump, clutch, wheel cylinders, brake shoes, clutch, slave cylinder, door seals, bonnet seals, carpet set, engine - bearings, seals, belts, hoses, new top, ring gear, U joints, etc. The car looks, goes, and sounds like no other - really neat. Nice. The combination of old, plus sensible mods, plus small size and decent power to weight ratio ring all the right bells for me.
